What is Karma? Simply put, Karma is the “law of cause and effect”.
It’s a law of the Universe that any action you perform that causes other people, or animals, to suffer will attract similar consequences for you to experience as part of your soul’s learning process and self-growth.
Inaction, not doing anything when you could have offered some support to another, will also attract similar consequences to you. When you need a helping hand at some point in your life, you may find yourself without any support.
To create good karma you need to perform selfless actions-actions that help other people in some way, expecting nothing in return yourself.
According to many of the great spiritual traditions, this Karmic principle of cause and effect carries over from one lifetime to the next and will affect every facet of your being. This includes not only your current circumstances, but also your birth circumstances, who your parents are and their characteristics, the kind of upbringing you experienced, as well as all aspects of your health and body type.
If you are currently experiencing suffering or lack in any area of your life the cause may well be the result of past life actions.
It is however possible that you may have chosen to experience suffering of some kind as an opportunity to appreciate what it feels like for your own soul’s growth during this life time.
A past life regression meditation may help you to uncover the root cause of your present circumstances, behaviour patterns, or
certain strong likes and dislikes that are part of your makeup in this lifetime. Once you are aware of the root causes you can make a choice to address and/or release those issues that may be holding you back in some way. Seemingly irrational phobias are a classic example.
You may be offered the opportunity to learn about and develop certain qualities during a particular lifetime through the experiences you have and the people you meet. However, soul qualities such as humility, compassion, patience, forgiveness, courage, tolerance, understanding, and unconditional love may take many life times to master.
Inscribed in the temples of ancient Egypt are the immortal words “know thyself” and this is incredibly important. The more you understand yourself and your motivations, the easier it is to improve your life circumstances.
Many people do not realise what their soul’s purpose is, or why they are here in this human third dimension. Meditation can help you access your purpose and help you access the answers to those questions we all ask at some point:
* Who am I?
* Why am I here?
* What is the purpose of my life?
* How can I be of service?
Behaving with conscious awareness will help you to attract that which you most wish to experience in the future. What you do NOW today, affects the next moment in your life and also your future.
The things we say and do, whether we behave with integrity, or spend our time spreading rumours, putting people down, propagating untruths, and indeed any unkindness spoken, will attract the same experiences to you in the future.
Your karma will attract events and conditions into your life that will work towards building in you certain soul qualities, for example:
experiencing chronic health conditions may help you become more compassionate and understanding when faced with the suffering of others.
Think about the various aspects of your life and consider whether any of them could be improved by you performing right action, right thought and being of selfless service to others. Aspects such as:
* How much love is in your life?
* Do you consistently experience good health?
* Do you experience true friendships?
* Do you like where you live?
* Do you enjoy the work you do and the people you work with?
* Do you have sufficient funds for your needs?
* How much joy and happiness is in your life?
When you perform a selfless act for other people, expecting nothing in return, that act will create good karma and will attract a similar positive energy. If you want more happiness, first perform some selfless act that will make another person happy, you will then attract more happiness for yourself in the future.
If you want to create good karma for yourself and experience sincere relationships, be sincere towards those you come into
contact with NOW. If you want to experience more love in your life, behave in a loving way NOW. Whatever you want to attract can be yours by first projecting that same vibration NOW.
Throughout our lives we are constantly creating future opportunities for learning and building qualities into our souls as we work with the divine Universal laws of attraction, and cause and effect.
So remember that in order to attract positive experiences we need to consistently live mindfully in the“Now”, this perfect moment. We need to act with integrity, consciousness and intention, for the highest of all concerned knowing that we are co-creating our lives in every moment.
By consciously living according to the Universal laws, you will manifest good karma for yourself.
